1. Who is accessible to become a Dealer? To qualify as a San Marcos Dealer, you must be actively involved either in picture framing, furniture showroom through a full-time business in a retail store-front location with regular hours or be an interior design or architect firm, either attending the hospitality, residential or commercial niche.  Once qualified, a new customer packet will be sent with the forms required to complete your account set-up process. This will include providing us with a copy of your resale tax certificate. Special cases can be analyzed upon request.

 

2.  How do I become a Dealer? After qualified you just have to order any DEALER ENROLMENT PROGRAM, either through the acquisition of a Corner Sample Program (CSP), Display Frame Program (DFP), Box of finishes program (BFP) or Carry-On sample program (COP). Please check our dealer enrolment programs for detailed information. To register as a potential Dealer, please contact us. The form will allow you enter any comment or question.

 

3. What are the benefits of your product? We can stand out 6 important facts: 1. It is a totally hand made product. 2. The extraordinary quality supported on ISO-9000 manufacturing processes. 3. Unique designs and materials. 4. Flexibility: customers can create their own designs (with the help of our design supporting tools such as the box of finishes). 5. We have a clear environmental policy. 6. We promote fair trade and are conscious of the social responsibility that we have with our country.

 

4. How long does it take to receive an order? Well, the lead time depends on how complex the piece to be made is. Usually is between 8 and 14 weeks. On bigger projects time may vary and it can be scheduled on partial deliveries. For more information please check our Policies & Guarantees. 

 

5. Can I bring my own blueprints? Sure! That is one of the most exciting things about working with San Marcos. You have an idea, we take care of bring it to life. If it is extremely difficult for you to make your own drawings, we can make them for you and prototypes as well.

 

6. I have several ideas that I took from the magazines but I can’t make up my mind. Can you help me? We will be happy to help you with that. Actually we love when our clients bring pictures of a specific piece because it give us a more visual idea of what you are looking for in design, style, color, etc. For us a picture REALLY is worth a thousand words.

 

7.  I have an antique and I would like to have another piece like that at home but I can’t find an original. Can you make a reproduction from the one that I own? Yes.

9. I’ve placed and order. Now what? If you brought your own drawings we will start working on your piece and at this point we will provide you with some color samples based on instructions you gave us. Once the colors are approved the finishing process begins, then we will contact you when the piece is finished to make the arrangements for its shipping. If you didn’t bring your own drawings we will make them for you and we will present them to you for approval. That would be the first step. 

 

10. How do you accept payments? Payments are received by credit card (Visa – Master Card – American Express). For more information please check our Policies & Guarantees.

 

11.  What are your payment terms? A 50% deposit is required upon order placement. 50% balance is due prior to shipping. For more information please check our Policies & Guarantees.

 

12. What is the minimum order? The minimum order is one piece of furniture. For more information please check our Policies & Guarantees.

 

13. Where can I get information about prices? Price lists are only available for pre-developed products or furniture collections. Since our main focus is to produce your own furniture pieces or collections, every project will be treated independently. 14. Do wholesale prices include delivery? Our main objective is to provide you prices delivered to your door. However to expedite quotations, we will first provide Ex-Works prices (placed in the factory). While the deal is matured, we will provide logistic expenses thus being able to give you a price including all expenses. For more information please check our Policies & Guarantees.

 

15. How do you ship your products? All orders are shipped professionally packed and crated. Usually they are shipped through DHL, but we can use other carriers. Shipping is done directly from our manufacturing facilities in Colombia to the address provided by you anywhere in the world. The logistic allied will be determined depending on the nature of the deal, like location of the client, order size, etc. We have the experience and knowledge to handle your order to any where in the world.

 

16.  How do I get a login and Password? Once you become a dealer you will get your login and password. US and Canada Dealers: Your User name is your San Marcos account number. 17. How can I care for my custom furniture? We recommend using a soft, lint free cloth that is free of dyes or chemicals. Slightly dampen the cloth with water, do not use harsh or abrasive cleansers. We do not recommend any type of conditioner, or chemical to be placed on the furniture. Simply dusting the piece, and cleaning it with a damp cloth should help keep your product looking good for its expected life. For wood finished furniture you can use any furniture polish.

 

18. I would like to do business with you but I would like to have some references? Not a problem. If after checking our website you still have doubts, a list of references will be provided upon request.
